Northern Sierra Nevada Plants
For my Masters Thesis research I studied 6 rare plant species that grow in the Northern Sierra. Here are some photos of plants from that work, some rare and some common.
Pollination makes it happen
As part of my Masters, I did pollinator observations on two closely related species to see if pollinator differences had driven speciation. That's right, I got to sit and watch bees visit flowers!
Swiss Alps
In 2011 I spent three weeks in Switzerland and didn't visit one city. How could you spend time in the city in a country with such beautiful, amazing and accessible nature!
Sicily, when you're here you're family.
In 2014 I lived with a family and taught their kids English for two months. It was in a beautiful UNESCO World Heritage Site town called Modica and we lived in the old part of town. I had a great time and ate a lot of delicious pasta, of course!
